We're glad you have found the website for Oakhurst Presbyterian Church. We hope you find all the information you need.
Oakhurst Presbyterian Church, like many Presbyterian churches, are at a major crossroads in our journey. For many decades, we have been at the center of our community and everytime we opened our doors, people would come. However, as the church becomes less the focal point of the community and more "that strange building where people I don't know go" I believe a change is due. I believe that God is calling Oakhurst Presbyterian Church to move forward through giving. We are called to seek the benefit of the community and the world before the benefit of the church. We have been given grace freely and so we are called to offer ourselves in service and ministry freely.
That is who we, as Oakhurst Presbyterian Church, seek to be. We are not there yet. If you are looking for a church where things are running smoothly and established programs are firing on all cylinders, Oakhurst is not that church. But if you are looking for a church that is on its knees in prayer, tense like a runner in the starting blocks, fastening its seat belt and putting on its crash helmet as God leads us on a wild ride, learning to take leaps of faith as we give ourselves selflessly, Oakhurst is that church.
I hope you will find time to visit with us, not only for worship, but for fellowship and to share in our vision and mission. I have seen God do amazing things at Oakhurst and I believe He's only just begun. I pray that you will find passion, excitement, awe and amazement for God wherever he might call you.

Pastor
Rev. Wong has been the pastor of Oakhurst since July of 2007. He previously served as the youth director for Oakhurst. Andy and his wife Lindsay live in Fort Worth with their son Caleb.
Condi Graham
Secretary
Condi began serving as the church secretary in April 2006. She lives in Fort Worth with her husband Michael and their sons Benjamin and Matthew.
Stanley Shepelwich
Organist & Choir Director
Stanley began his career with Oakhurst in 1992. He lives in Fort Worth and is a member of the Organ Guild Association.
Delbert Perkins
Custodian
Delbert began his ministry with the church in 1993. He lives with his wife Bertha in Blue Mound.
A small, dedicated beginning in November 1928 laid the foundation for Oakhurst Presbyerian Church and gave a glimmer of hope to the charter members that their dreams of a church had the possiblity of succeeding. These dreams have continued to be fullfiled through faith, prayer, love, caring and giving of one's physical and financial means to God for His glory in greater measures than ever thought possible so many years ago. Today we can reflect on the early years and their happenings, evaluate ourselves as we stand today and look forward to the promises of the future.
In our more than 80 years, through the grace of God we have sought to provide spiritual guidance, Christian education and wholesome activities for each member of the congregation and members of the surrounding community. With a sense of mission, the Church has served its community and reaches out to help people in need.
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has approximately 2.4 million members, 11,100 congregations and 14,000 ordained and active ministers. Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.

Worship
We welcome you to join us each Sunday morning for breakfast and coffee at 9:00am followed by Sunday School at 9:30am and worship at 10:30am.
We want to be more than just a building in the middle of a neighborhood. Our outreach efforts have changed the lives of many in our area. We reach out with a food pantry, have partnered with Springdale Elementary in the Adopt-a-School program, and collect Prayer Bears for the patients of Cook Children's Medical Center each November.
Our Presbyterian Women tackle projects such as collecting coats for children, taking gifts to our homebound members, and creating pillows for cancer patients. If you are interested in learning more about how you can help, please contact us. Our session members would be happy to help you get involved!
